Ran the Rebecca Mountain 50 Miler Saturday. It was a hoot! Finished feeling great in 11:10 in the top half of the pack. It was cool and misty most of the day and sunny and warm toward the evening. Chatted with some old and new friends. Mostly managed nutrition, hydration, and electrolytes really well. Got through the aid stations pretty quickly. Had a great time! The race was well-organized and all of the volunteers and other runners were awesome.
#latergram of last week's amazing family vacation to #thegrandhotel in Fair Hope. Thanks @mark_mccoll! It's always a fun time traveling anywhere with this crew, but the beautiful scenery and delicious food and drinks added to the experience.
COVID jail is no fun, but the food is good. Thanks for taking care of me @jeanmccoll !
Also, if you can not get COVID, don't. It's not much fun. And try not to give it to anyone else.
But also for the record, I'm pretty sure I'll be alright 😁
Second Baby Dragon 40 miler in the books. 12:40 , 41.5 miles, 11k elevation gain. About an hour and twenty faster than last year. Good company, good weather, awesome support, too many yellow jackets. Still the hardest course I've ever run. There's a fun long day to be had out there. #hardassevents #h9 #duncanridgetrail
@gutsrunning #Hot2Trot! I got 41ish miles in 8 hours and somehow snuck into 3rd place male? That was a shock - there were some strong runners out there today and also me. Got lucky with some shade and a breeze early on, plenty hot later. Anyway, here are some of the worst pictures ever taken of me. 📸: Me
SweetH20 50k! Good time spent meandering through the woods. Thanks to @mermaidmotorlounge and @foxgoesrunning for letting me talk their ears off and to @gutsrunning for putting on great races. And as always, thanks @jeanmccoll for supporting me being a bum trail runner with snacks, beer, and patience 😁
